Glycerin Soap

Glycerin soap is easily melted by the heat such as a double boiler and a microwave.
I use a microwave to melt my soap.

You can make transparent soap from a scratch; however, you need some more additional ingredinets,
which are suger, alcohol(any kind of alcohol would be fine such as ethanol and vodka)
and glycerin than when you make lye soap.

The ingredients of Commercial M&P Soap are used propylen glycol instead of suger and alcohol to make the soap clear.
Althought some people are allergic to propylen glycol; it's good for children.
You can buy M&P Soap at Hobby shops or through the Internet.

If you want to try to make tranceparent soap from a scratch, go to my page of Transparent Soap Recipies.

The Four Steps to working with Melt and Pour soap are:

>

(1) Cut your soap or use cubed soap.
Put the soap in a microwavable container to melt.

>

(2) Melt 15-30 sec. and check how much it malts.
Don't let the soap get too hot!
If you do, your soap might become flaky or waxy
because of evaporating moisture.

(3) Add color and Scents such as Fos & EOs.

(4) Pour into your mold.
It is ready to be popped out of the mold
when it hardens.
